The Smart Automation and Monitoring System (SAMS) therefore represents Balluff’s complete automation philosophy. Due to its concept of uniform and standardised operation and configuration, long commissioning times, high training costs and long troubleshooting in case of unexpected device failure are a thing of the past.
Part of this system are our new HF read/write heads (13.56 Mhz). They are used, for example, for reliable traceability of parts (Track & Trace) or for production control in order to make the production phases transparent and traceable. They also allow automatic recognition of interchangeable parts and ensure that the correct printed part is inserted or exchanged during the change.
They are designed for use in harsh industrial environments (IP68 and IP69K). Thanks to hygienic materials (1.4404/PBT stainless steel), they are also ideal for washing applications. Even better: we guarantee at least 1,000 cleaning cycles. With the highest transmission rate of 230.4 kbaud (IO-Link COM3), they enable fast, non-contact reading and writing of data media in near-field applications.
In addition to reliable identification, read/write heads offer you numerous condition monitoring functions, such as tilt detection or monitoring of temperature and signal quality – as well as other multifunctional, such as operating time counter or ping command for visual localisation of the device.
