Frequently asked questions

Before selecting an ATEX component

What information is needed to start?

At least the classified zone, presence of gas or dust, substance group, temperature class, environmental conditions and required function.

Are ATEX and IECEx equivalent?

They are different schemes. The required compliance depends on the destination market and the specific installation.

Do all the product families shown have the same certifications?

No. Certifications, versions and operating limits vary by series, configuration and manufacturer and must be checked against the relevant certificate.

Does Direma perform certification?

Direma supports the selection and supply of certified products. Certification is declared by the manufacturer and the relevant notified bodies.
